英文摘要Two classical theories of ground pressure, Equilibrium arch and Terzaghi theories, are introduced, and their shortages and applied conditions are analyzed. In allusion to the roof-collapse failure character of the gallery surrounded by loosened rocks, an earth-pressure theory and the correlated formulation are established using the principle of limit equilibrium method. The theory is simple in form and fit for deep covered galleries. It can reasonably describe the effects of. lithological character, superincumbent depth, gallery dimension and lateral pressure on the deformation failure of galleries.
