A Study of Shear Strength Property and Deformability of Hard Structural Planes under Hydro-mechanical Coupling

英文摘要 | Shear tests of hard structural planes from Lingao II nuclear power station under various moisture states and different normal stress levels are investigated in this paper. Based on the recorded data, the curves of shear stress-displacement change of hard structural planes are obtained, and the shear deformation and strength of hard structural planes are analyzed. Then, the testing result is compared with the computing one using JRC-JCS model. The study results have revealed that, 1) shear deformation curves of hard structural planes present an elasto-plastic residual relation. Compared with specimens under the natural condition, saturated specimens have a smaller elastic region and enter into peak region or plastic region earlier; 2) the shear stiffness of hard structural planes under the natural condition is higher than the one of hard structural planes under the saturated condition. However, under the same normal stress the shear stiffness of saturated specimens is lower than that in natural state, which is remarkable if the normal stress is low. The shear stiffness of natural specimen is approximately 2-4 times as the saturated one; 3) hydro-mechanical coupling makes obvious effects on strength parameters of hard structural planes, especially on the derogation of cohesion c; 4) the testing result of hard structural planes is coincident with the computing one using JRC-JCS model. The JRC-JCS model can be applied to strength parameters assessment of hard structural planes under hydro-mechanical coupling. The study of this paper may provide theoretical basis for the stability analysis of engineering rockmass. |
