英文摘要The influence of number of geotechnical samples on undrained slope stability is investigated. A simple method for simulating geotechnical sampling and testing is presented. Slope reliability is calculated many times based on sampling results with certain numbers and the frequencies of probability of slope failure are obtained, finally the required number of geotechnical samples is determined. Results show that from practical point of view in slope design, for the common coefficient of variation (0.2 to 0.5) of undrained shear strength the required number of samples is generally between 10 and 15.
