英文摘要A hydraulic-stress coupling model was developed for the description of the damage of asphalt pavement. The stress distributions, e.g., horizontal, vertical, and shear stress, of the layered pavement structure were analyzed under moving vehicle loading. The effects of permeability, pavement modulus, and thickness on the pore water pressure within the asphalt pavement were theoretically investigated. The results showed that enhancing the stability of asphalt pavement against shifted pore water pressure has an important function in improving its performance and durability. Moreover, stress distribution is comparatively more centralized than the deeper region, increased pavement thickness helps delay the squeezing compression caused by vehicle loading, and the permeability of the pavement noticeably affects the stability of the saturated asphalt surface.
