英文摘要In order to investigate the deformation characteristic of rock under freezing/thawing condition, frost strains of dry and saturated rock samples were tested using strain gauges method. Silex glass was taken as compensation block, and the strain of some metals under subfreezing temperature were tested for comparison. The testing results show that the strains of dry rocks and metal have linear relationships with temperature, and no residual strain appears after one freezing/thawing cycle. Strains of saturated samples in one freeze-thaw cycle can be divided into four stages, and plastic strains occur. Based on the results, frost strain of saturated rock under freezing pressure was analyzed by elasto-plastic theory.
