英文摘要The force is the direct cause of sliding for slope, and the change of forces acting on the sliding body are the basis of sliding. The vector sum method is proposed in this paper for analyzing the stability of slope. In this method the resisting force of sliding body can be combined to be a vector, so does the sliding force. Moreover, this method is simple in calculating process, and has clear physical meaning. Zhangmu Port, which is the only overland trading port between China and Nepal and also the only international trading port with a certain scale in Tibetan region, is located on a large accumulation body, and has faced the threat of geological disasters over a long time. In this paper, this proposed method is applied in an accumulation slope of Zhangmu in Tibet. The gravity load of the accumulation body, the rainfall conditions and the seismic load are taken into account, respectively. The calculating results show that the Bangcundong large slope is stable under gravity or rain conditions, however, the deformation and failure of slope located in shallow accumulation body should be concentrated on.
