An elastoplastic constitutive model for chalk with considering chalk-fluid physicochemical interaction

英文摘要Chalk is composed of multispecies electrically charged, and the behavior is sensitive to the saturating fluid. There is pronounced physicochemical interaction between the solid particle and fluid, rendering the chalk shows strong chemo-mechanical coupling effect and complex mechanical behavior. An elastoplastic model of chalk saturated with different fluids was developed based on the modified Cam-clay model, which could be effectively used to address the chemo-mechanical behavior. In this model, the generalized osmotic pressure was introduced to represent the microscopic physicochemical stress. Based on the generalized osmotic pressure, the intergranular stress equation is formulated that can effectively account for the physicochemical effect. The generalized osmotic pressure was treated as another hardening variable, and the hardening law of the yielding pressure was given. Compared with the experimental results, the model is capable of addressing the water weakening effect of the chalk.
