White-beam synchrotron-radiation study of dislocations in an al62cu25.5fe12.5 icosahedral quasi-crystal

| 英文摘要 | Long dislocations of 1-2 mm length in an al62cu25.5fe12.5 icosahedral quasi-crystal (iqc) were investigated by means of white-beam synchrotron radiation x-ray topography for the first time. the direction of the burgers vector of a dislocation was determined by the invisibility condition to be parallel to the six-dimensional vector 1/2[0, -1, 1, -1, 0, 1], the physical subspace component of which is parallel to a two-fold axis fof the iq. this result is consistent with that determined by a transmission electron microscopy study. |
