中文摘要the rapid deplttion of fossil and “peak oil”are driving the randd in bioenergy and biofuels wordwide.while bio-based energy and fuels can potentially contribute to enwironmental mscial and economic goals .however limited feedstock supplies and negstive/low profitability are currently two significant challenges in commercial development .it is noteworthy in both usa and china that the recent large-scale diversion of food crops to biofuels production has significantlry increased food prioes in a short period .this has raised questions of environmengtal impact ,sustainability of biofitability of biofuels companies due to rising aemand and limited supply of feedstock. an innovative non-crop production system for biofuels is to cultivste microalgae to produce oils .carbohydrate-rich biomadd and clean biofuel gases .microalgat are readily are readily cultured microscopic organisms which,like plants,use photosynthesis to convert the sun,s energy into chemical energy while removing co2 form the atmosphere ,microslgae are much more efficient converters of solar energy and co2 than any know terrestrial plant .it is reported that microalgae are capable of producing in excess of 30 times the amount of oil (per year per unit area of land ),when compared to terrestrial oil seed crops .moreover,the non-ol fracion of the microalgae can be processed to produce ethanol or pther bio-products .alternatively. microalgae can be cultured to hydrogen form sunlight and water using their photosynthesis and hydrogenase system.
