中文摘要a series of metal-promoted w2c catalysts were prepared by a two-step synthesis method and evaluated for the catalytic conversion of cellulose in aqueous condition and hydrogen atmosphere. quite different from the one-step synthesis method, nickel addition did not cause catalyst sintering but resulted in the tungsten carbide re-dispersion, which was identified by characterizations using xrd, tem, and co chemosorption. tungsten carbides modified by other transition metals (pt, ru, pd, rh, co, and fe) were also obtained with high dispersion. the highly dispersed metal-promoted tungsten carbide catalysts were found to be very active and selective for the cellulose conversion to ethylene glycol. the underlying reason was attributed to the much better dispersion of w2c and more active sites on the catalysts.
