A Descriptive Analysis of E-Learning in East Africa

| 英文摘要 | This study is conducted in order to analyze elearning tools used by East Africa colleges' faculties and to investigate the relationships between faculty members and students' perceptions over Information Technology (IT) applications and use. Results found that only 26% of East Africa colleges' faculties taught part or all of a course online. Path analyses of the relationships between IT attitudes and use found that for East Africa colleges' faculties, System was the only variable significantly related to IT Use while Perceived Value was related to Attitude toward IT use. In addition, a comparison is made with developed countries such as China, and reveals that the developed countries larger relationship between System use and IT tools use expands the access to technology, thus the reason behind more experience of using online learning tools than East Africa colleges' faculties. |
