英文摘要During the past decades, neural electrodes have been developed as promising interface technology for therapies with Parkinson’s, blindness and other neural system diseases [1-2]. To date, the traditional metallic neural electrodes, such as gold, platinum and iridium, still play an important role though they do not fulfill with requirements of electrical, mechanical and other desired properties [3]. Many studies have attempted to modify metal electrodes with better coatings to increase the effective surface area, such as electrodeposition of platinum (Pt) black, Pt gray, iridium oxide (IrOx), conducting polymer [4-5]. As an alternative, Pt gray is still undesirable for its high impedance and low charge storage capacity (CSCc), despite of stronger mechanical strength than Pt black. IrOx and poly (3,4-ethylene-dio-xythiophene) (PEDOT) has become popular for electrical stimulation because of its low impedance, high CSCc and charge injection capacity (CIC). However, the chronic stability is generally unsatisfactory, may form cracks or delaminate easily under stimulation which restrict their effective application
