英文摘要 | Mineral reaction and localized deformation have been broadly observed in the middle and lower crust. results of experimental studies show that the relationship between mineral reaction and deformation is very complicated. in this paper we analyzed the distribution of mineral reaction and the change of chemical composition caused by the mineral reaction in experimental deformed mylonite samples under high temperature and high pressure and discussed interaction between mineral reactions and deformation. microstructure observations show that dehydration reaction of hornblende and biotite occur in temperature ranges of 800 similar to 890 degrees c, and reaction productions are micro-crystallites of hornblende and biotite accompanied by partial melting in experimental deformed granitic mylonite samples. the dehydration reaction productions are mainly distributed in the rims of biotite and hornblende, which was controlled by the strain localization. microprobe analysis for microcrystalline and melt composition revealed that the content of sio2 is very low in microcrystalline and melt caused by the mineral reaction. the reaction productions and melt in rims of biotite come from the dehydration of biotite, while the reaction productions and melt in rims of hornblende come from the dehydration of hornblende. but the k-feldspar and quartz and plagioclase do not participate in the reaction and melting. in this study, pyroxene and garnet is not found in the dehydration reaction productions, implying dehydration reaction productions and melt composition is different from the results of experiments under static pressure with high-degree partial melt of samples reported in literature. the localized distribution of hornblende and biotite and low degree of dehydration may be the key factors which cause the difference in the productions of dehydration reaction. the effect of dehydration reaction to the deformation in our experimental results is that dehydration reaction produced fine-grained mixed mineral phases which can change the deformation mechanism from the dislocation creep into the diffusion creep in the localized shear bands, resulting in strain weakening in the deformed samples. in addition, dehydration reaction can produce the partial brittle fracture. crystal plastic deformation caused by deformation may increase the dislocation densities and produce fine-grained mineral, and promote intragranular nucleation and dehydration decomposition of biotite and hornblende. the differential stress enhances the local normal stress and the average stress, which could increase stable pressure range of biotite and hornblende. these may be the reason that the reaction productions in our experiments are mainly microcrystalline of biotitie and hornblende rather than pyroxene. |
