Mu phase in a nickel base directionally solidified alloy

英文摘要Scanning electron microscope (sem), transmission electron microscope (tem) and x-ray diffraction (xrd) were employed to study the mu phase in a directionally solidified experimental nickel base alloy. it was observed that the mu phase distribute at interdendritic area and precipitate mainly from the gamma' phase in this experimental alloy. orientation relationship between the gamma and the mu phase was found as (111)gamma parallel to (0001)(mu) and < 110 >(gamma) parallel to < 11 (2) over bar0 >(mu). detrimental effect of the it phase on oxidation resistance or the alloss was also found.
