Modified methylaluminoxane and alkylaluminum activated nd (vers)(3) catalyst for isoprene polymerization

英文摘要 | The nd(vers)(3) catalyst activated by modified methylaluminoxane (mmao, in heptane) and alkylaluminum (air(3)) was applied in isoprene (ip) polymerization. nd(vers)(3)-mmao catalyst is able to polymerize isoprene, while a large amount of mmao (n (mmao) /n (nd) = 40) is necessary. when air(3) partially substitutes for mmao, the activity of nd(vers)3-mmao increases significantly at a relatively low mmao amount (n (mmao) /n (nd) = 20, n (ai) /n (nd) = 40). however, the cis-1, 4 unit content of the polyisoprene is low (ca. 90%). al (i-bu)(2)cl improves the cis-1,4 stereospecificity (up to 95%) of the nd(vers)(3)-mmao catalyst, while a large amount of mmao (n (mmao)/n (nd) = 40) is consumed as cocatalyst. the nd(vers)(3)-mmao-al(i-bu)(2)h catalyst with chlorine compounds, such as al(i-bu)(2)cl, alet2cl, mesicl3, sicl4 or t-bucl, is able to form a homogeneous catalyst system with high stability in the presence of a small amount of ip (n (ip)/n (nd) = 10). the catalyst system with al(i-bu)(2)cl, for instance, is highly effective in ip polymerization at a relatively low mmao amount ( n (mmao) /n (nd) = 15, 77 (al) /n (nd) = 30) and broad range of al(i-bu)(2)cl amount ( n (cl)/n (nd) = 0.5 similar to 7.0). the catalyst activity is higher than nd(vers)(3)-mmao-al(i-bu)(2)h and nd(vers)(3)-al(i-bu)(2)h-al(i-bu)(2)cl, and a high cis-1,4 content up to 96% of polyisoprene is achieved. the molecular weight of polyisoprene can be controlled by adjusting mmao and ai(i-bu)2h amounts. the generation process of the catalyst active species was speculated primarily. |
