Effects of tio2 nanoparticles on the photodamage of ct-dna by ru(ii) bis(terpyridine) complexes

| 英文摘要 | Due to their short excited state lifetimes, ru(ii) bis(terpyridine) complexes can hardly used as dna photocleavers. in this paper three ru(ii) bis(terpyridine) complexes [ru(ttp)(tpy)](2+) (1), [ru(ttp-cooh)(tpy)](2+) (2) and [ru(ttp-cooh)(tpy-pyr)](2+) (3) were designed and synthesized (tpy=2,2':6',2"terpyridine, ttp=4'-(p-tolyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine, ttp-cooh=4'-(p-carboxyl-phenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine, tpy-pry=4'-(1-pyrenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridine). it was found that tio2 nanoparticles improved the photo-damage ability of 3 on calf thymus dna in both aerated and deaerated conditions. the oxidized form of 3, [ru(iii)(ttp-cooh)(tpy-pyr)](3+), generated by photoinduced electron transfer between tio2 nanoparticle and 3, was invoked to account for the enhanced dna photodamage. |
