Thermodynamic and kinetic considerations on the process of co-polymerization of siloxane-acrylate

| 英文摘要 | Effect of 3-(methacryloxpropyl)-trimethoxysilane (mats) and vinyl trimethoxysilane (vtmos) on butyl methacrylate (bma) polymerisation were investigated. the polymerisation in the presence of mats shows a higher polymerisation-rate and bma conversion than in its deficiency. however, the lower polymerisation-rate and bma conversion are obtained in the presence of vtmos. for the polymerisation in the presence of mats, the steric effect apparently plays a role in increasing the rate of polymerization due to the presence of bulky -si (och3)(3). the decrease in the rate of polymerization with vtmos may be responsible for the decrease of electric density in active duo-bond of bma due to the presence of vtmos. further investigation shows that the change of free energy in the polymerization with mats was lower than that without mats. the decrease of free energy may be in thermodynamic response to the increase in the conversion of bma. |
