Investigation on crystallization and dynamic mechanical properties of poly(butylenes succinate)/nano-sio2 composites

英文摘要 | In order to improve the combinatorial performance of poly (butylene succinate) (pbs), including the crystallinity and mechanical performance, pbs/nano-sio2, composites were prepared in this study by solution blending methodology. the crystallization behavior, micro-structure and dynamic mechanical performance of the composites were investigated by the combination of dsc, xrd, tem and dmta. the dsc results indicated that the onset, peak and end crystallization temperature of pbs were increased from 74.6 degrees c to 80.2 degrees c, 67.7 degrees c to 73.3 degrees c and 63.5 degrees c to 68.7 degrees c. respectively with the increase of nano-sio2 content from 0 wt% to 5 wt%. xrd results displayed that the crystal form of pbs in composites was still the a crystal form but the crystallinity of pbs/nano-sio2 composites was enhanced. the crystallinity of pbs reached a maximum value of 42.4% when the content of nano-sio2 was 2%, and dropped down to 33 0% when the content of nano-sio2 was 5 wt%. tem observations showed that the interface profile between pbs and nano-sio2 was not clear-cut, suggesting the existing of interaction between the two components. dmta analysis indicated that the dynamic mechanical performance of the pbs/nano-sio2 composites was higher than that of pure pbs. the storage modulus and the loss factor (tan delta) of the composites were enhanced and reached their maximum values in the case of the 2% nano-sio2 composite. the improving of the mechanical is correlated with the variation of crystallization behavior. |
