英文摘要 | Nitriding combustion synthesis of ultrafine magnesium nitride (mg(3)n(2)) powder was achieved by using a newly developed gas dilution technique, with a low-melting-point alkaline metal powder (mg) and n(2)/ar mixed gas as reactants. the addition of ar to n(2) remarkably prevented the agglomeration of mg melts and enhanced the nitridation of mg during the combustion synthesis process. the as-synthesized mg(3)n(2) powder showed well-crystallized cubic morphology with a mean particle size of 2.5 mu m, and is a promising candidate for hydrogen storage materials.
