Practical ozone indicator applied to bioimaging and semi-quantitative disk test

| 英文摘要 | Ozone detection has been extensively explored in atmospheric, environmental, and biological science, but investigations have been seriously impeded by the lack of efficient tools. In this study, a simple and sensitive ozone indicator named Cou-Bu was developed based on the specific reaction of but-3-enyl with O-3 and ozonation-induced elimination of a coumarin carbamate. The specific reaction could enhance fluorescence by >60-fold within 10 s without the addition of amines as a catalyst. A detection limit as low as 4.7 nM was achieved. When applied to cell imaging, Cou-Bu showed low toxicity (IC50 > 100 mu M) and responded to cytoplasm O-3 specifically. Cou-Bu could also find its application in the semi-quantitative determination of ambient O-3 in disk tests. (c) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. |
