ENHANCED TEMPORAL STABILITY OF CHROMOPHORE ALIGNMENT IN POLED NPP ACRYLATE COPOLYMER FILMS

英文摘要The temporal decay study of second harmonic generation from poled films of two new NPP and PNP-substituted acrylates and (meth)acrylates shows that these films retain well over 80% of their initial second order nonlinearity over a period of three months. This degree of temporal stability is much higher than those observed in similar copolymers. FT-IR studies indicate that the enhanced stabilization of these films may be attributable to the existence of strong interaction between chromophores and (meth)acrylate spacers.
