Rationally Positioning Zirconium on Supported Ru Catalyst for Synergistically Catalytic Upgrading Bio-oil

| 英文摘要 | Design and preparation of efficient catalysts for synthesizing alternative fuels from biomass feedstocks are in great demand but have challenges. Here, we reported a bifunctional catalyst of silica supported Ru nanoparticles with rationally doped sulfated zirconia oxide (SZrO2, Ru/SiO2), which is highly efficient for the hydrodeoxygenation of phenolic biomolecules to the corresponding alkanes. The good catalytic performances of SZrO2-Ru/SiO2 is reasonably attributed to the synergistic effect of Ru nanoparticles and acid sites on sulfated zirconia oxide, which facilitates the transfer of intermediate molecules between the Ru and acid sites, causing enhanced efficiency in the hydrodeoxygenation reaction containing tandem steps. Importantly, the SZrO2-Ru/SiO2 is stable and recyclable in several catalytic runs without significant decrease in activities and selectivities. |
