Synthesis and characterization of phenolate-bridged octaamino cryptands and their lanthanide cryptates

| 英文摘要 | Three new phenolate-bridged octaamino cryptands (R = Bromo, 4; Phenyl, 5; Methyl, 6) were synthesized in high yield by reduction of the corresponding Robson-type Schiff-base cryptands derived from a 2+3 condensation of tris(2-aminoethyl)-amine and 2,6-diformyl-4-R-Phenol. The lanthanide cryptates (7similar to12) were obtained by treating the cryptands with lanthanide perchlorates. All compounds were carefully characterized by NMR, mass spectra, IR. UV-Vis and elemental analyses. A new type of N3O3N3 symmetric coordination geometry around the mononuclear lanthanide(III) ion encapsulated within the cryptand cavity was proposed. The luminescence property of europium(III) cryptate 8 in acetonitrile solution was also discussed. |
