英文摘要The affinity fingerprint method was used to functionally classify proteins based on the binding data matrix produced by multiple-docking. The method has been applied to the classification of phospholipase A(2) enzymes. Though many of the classifications are similar to those from sequence alignment, the human cPLA(2) was successfully grouped with bee PLA(2) based on the binding site similarity, which can not be handled by sequence alignment due to cPLA(2)'s low homology with other PLA(2)S.
