Synthesis, crystal structure and photoluminescence properties of an organometallic Ir complex containing 2,2'-bipyrimidine as ancillary ligand

| 英文摘要 | An Ir-III complex [Ir(dfppy)(2)(bpm)]Cl was synthesized with 2-(4',6'-difluorophenyl)pyridne (dfppy) as cylcometalated ligand and 2,2'-bipyrimidine (bpm) as ancillary ligand. It was characterized by H-1 NMR, mass spectr-ometry, element analysis and FTIR spectra, and its crystal structure was measured. At the same time, the forma-tion of this complex was discussed by the crystal structure of mediated complex [Ir(dfppy)2(bpm)](+)[Ir(dfppy)(2) (Cl)(2)](-). The UV-Vis absorption and photoluminescence spectra of [Ir(dfppy)(2)(bpm)]Cl were recorded. The emission at room temperature peaked at 609 nm, and it was supposed that the phosphorescence might originate from the mixture of the MLCT (metal-to-ligand charge transfer) transition and ligand-centered pi ->pi* transition.
