Theoretical calculation for the lifetimes of NII related to lightning process

英文摘要 | Transition probabilities have been calculated for transitions between the levels of 2p(2),2s2p(3),2p3s,2p3p and 2p3d configurations of NII. Large-scale multiconfguration Dirac-Fock wave functions are applied to include the most important effects of relativity, correlation, and rearrangement of the electron density within the same (computational) model. From the transition probability lifetimes of all 35 levels are derived and compared with experiments and previous calculations. A remarkable improvement is shown in the accuracy of the results. New prediced values are also provided for lifetimes of 2p3d F-3 levels. |
