英文摘要 | The Xizang area has undergone strong uplift since Neogene. With unique natural conditions favourable to the occurrence and development of debris flows, it is one of the regions where debris flows are most developing and active in China. In Xizhang there are two kinds of water sourcesforming debris, i.e, rainwater and meltwater. The former causes rainfall debris flows, and the latter triggers glacial debris flows. The development and distribution of debris flows in Xizang vary with landforms and climate. In the interior of Xizang, debris flows are not developing for the weather is parching and cold. On the other hand, both types of debris flows are widdy distributed and strong in acitivity in mountainous region of Southeast and South Xizang with a humid and rainy climate,and much meltwater in summer. That is the chief region of debris flows in Xizang. The distribution of debris flows has a vertical zonation. Glacial debris flows orginate in the alpine ice and snow belt; rainfall debris flows in the forest or sparse brush belt. The activity of debris flows in Xizang with a long history is characterzied by rhythm, which is related to the rhythm of the climate and sesmic activity. |
