英文摘要Dengqian River is landslide-infuced debris flow gully on the left bank of the middle reaches of Daying River. Since 1946, modern landslide-induced debris flow have frequently appeared in this gully. Especially after the 1960s, the occurence of debris flows becomes more frequent. Only in 1977, did four debris flows occur. They pluged the openings of the highway bridge across the gully, endangered the aqueduct, silted the farmland, and aggraded the gully bed. In order to prevent these debris flows from damaging, a synthetic program that combined structural measures with vegetative ones was adopted. Since 1976, the debris flows have been preliminarly under control.
