英文摘要We measured, for the first time, the mass distribution of Pu-240 fission fragments following the beta-vibrational resonance, whose level is formed on the second minimum of the double-humped fission barrier. The distribution shows an asymmetric mass distribution similar to the one observed for thermal neutron-induced fission of Pu-239 and isomeric fission of Pu-240. This indicates that the Pu-240 system following the beta-vibrational resonance descends into a fission valley which is identical to the fission valley of the Pu-240 isomer and Pu-239(n(th),f).
