First observation of low-spin signature inversion in the pi h(9/2)circle times vi(13/2) oblate band

英文摘要Excited states in Tl-190 have been studied experimentally using the Gd-160(Cl-35, 5n) reaction, and resulted in the identification of a strongly coupled band based on the pi h(9/2) circle times vi(13/2) configuration with oblate deformation. Combining with the results from the previous a-decay of Bi-194, spin values have been proposed for the pi h(9/2) circle times vi(13/2) oblate band in Tl-190. This oblate band shows low-spin signature inversion. It is the first experimental observation of low-spin signature inversion for a band associated with the oblate pi h(9/2) circle times vi(13/2) configuration.
