英文摘要A new neutron - rich nuclide 208Hg has been produced and identified for the first time in the 30 MeV/u C-12+(nat)Pb reaction at HIRFL. A new technique was employed for the identification. A half - life of 42+/-23/12 min has been determined for 208Hg and the average cross section in the energy region from 5 to 30 MeV/u deduced to be 1. 1mub. In addition, 185Hf has already been produced and identified and its half-life was determined to be 3.5 +/- 0.6 min. A new gamma-ray(164.5KeV) has been assigned to come from 185Hf beta- decay.
