Quench transient thermal stress analysis of super-FRS dipoles

英文摘要The super fragment separator (Super-FRS) of the FAIR-project (facility for antiproton and ion research) is a large international cooperation project. The quench transient thermal stress is simulated using FEM software ADINA. The simulation uses the C program for a secondary development of ADINA to control the load and call the solver. The thermal stress and the acoustic are analyzed. The results show that the maximal thermal stress is 26 MPa, and the frequency of the acoustic wave is about 35 Hz.
