Studies on mutagenie effects of winter wheat by heavy ions irradiation

英文摘要Dry seeds of three varieties of wheat were irradiated by 3.2 - 75 MeV/u 16O and 12C heavy ions with various doses. The mutagenic effects in M1 and M2 were studied. The results showed that the biological damage became higher with the increasing of the dose. For the energy of 8 MeV/u, the biological damage was higher than that for high energy (75 MeV/u). There was chlorophyll stripped deficiency in M1 generation for 8 MeV/u treatment, which was seldom found in γ-ray and high energy (75 MeV/u) heavy ions treatment and had not been reported. Wider mutational spectrum and higher useful mutation frequencies (earlier earing, dwarf stem, spike form) were observed in M2 generation by heavy ions treatment than in that by γ-ray treatment.
