HIRFL beam emittance measurement by gradient method

| 英文摘要 | HIRFL beam emittance was measured by means of quadrupole and secondary emission multi-wire profile monitor. A series of measurements were performed and a weighted least squares fit was used in the data processing. The method for emittance calculation and its error calculation were described. Some of the measurement results were presented. It was indicated that the error of beam emittance measurement by gradient method results from the measurement of beam profile, and the optimal number of times of the measurement is 10-20. The emittance in horizontal direction is higher than that in vertical direction. |
