Angular distributions of projectile fragmentation in the 600 MeV 40Ar+197Au reaction

英文摘要The angular distributions of the fragments such as 7Be, 24Na and 28Mg produced in the 600 MeV 40Ar+197Au reaction were measured using off-line gamma ray spectroscopy technique. The experiment was performed at the Heavy Ion Research Facility, Lanzhou. After subtraction of the contribution of fission process, the width σp⊥ of the transverse momentum distribution was extracted from the analysis of the fragment angular distribution data in the framework of the projectile fragmentation mechanism. The results are compared with the calculated values of Goldhaber statistical model and agree with it in the error range.
