英文摘要 | The ECR (electron cyclotron resonance) ion source, beam line from ECR ion source to SFC(sector focus cyclotron) and electrostatic inflector had been designed and installed to increase ion species accelerated and beam intensity. The working points are mainly located in the third harmonic accelerating region. The central region was studied carefully, and the Dee and Dummy Dee were rebuilt to match the external injection system. Other improvements were adopted to improve the performance and operation efficiency of SFC. After upgrading, Ar8+, Ne4+ and O5+ can be accelerated with extracted beam current about 1μA, which gives the Lanzhou heavy ion accelerator HIRFL possibility to accelerate O8 with 100 MeV/u. The commissioning of the upgraded SFC was also described. |
