Investigation on structural properties of the pi i(13/2 circle times)nu i(13/2) 2-qp band in odd-odd Au-184

英文摘要 | High-spin band structures in Au-184 have been re-investigated using the Tb-159(Si-29,4ngamma)Au-184 reaction and the multidetector array of GASP. The rotational bands built on the pih(9/2)xnu7/2- [514] and pii(13/2) x nui(13/2) 2-quasiparticle configurations have been extended up to higher-spin states. Of most importance, linking transitions between the two bands and to the ground state have been established leading to firm spin and parity assignments for the pii(13/2) x nui(13/2) band in Au-184. This result provides a strong evidence for the prediction that the low-spin signature inversion could occur in the pii(13/2) x nui(13/2) bands of odd-odd nuclei in the A approximate to 180 mass region. The quasipartice alignments and the dynamical moment of inertia have been analyzed for the pii(13/2) x nui(13/2) band in Au-184, the pii(13/2) and pih(9/2) bands in Au-183, and the nui(13/2) band in Pt-183. It is concluded that the first band-crossing observed in the pii(13/2) x nui(13/2) band of Au-184 corresponds to a pair of h(9/2)-proton alignment. This proton alignment may play important role in the pii(13/2) band of Au-183, the nui(13/2) band of Pt-183 as well as in the ground-state band of Pt-182. |
