802.16QOS体系结构及调度算法研究

中文摘要802.16标准定义了无线宽带城域网MAC层和物理层技术规范。在MAC层,标准将不同的业务流归类为UGS,rtPS,nrtPS和BE四种类型,分别对每种类型的业务流提供QOS保证。在物理层,标准采用OFDM/OFDMA等技术,为无线数据在复杂的物理环境中进行传输提供可靠的保证。虽然,标准在设计之初就为下一代网络中所承载的不同业务提供了良好的QOS保障机制,但是标准并没有给出实现这些QOS保证所需要的QOS结构框架,也没有给出物理层为了保证MAC层提出的QOS需求所应该使用的无线资源调度算法,因此,这些问题成为人们对无线宽带城域网技术进行深入研究的热点。本文主要探讨了802.16无线宽带城域网中的QOS系统框架设计和即DM物理层无线资源调度算法设计。在对802.16无线宽带城域网的MAC层和物理层进行详细的技术分析基础上,设计了802.16无线宽带城域网QOS系统功能框架,定义了框架中各个模块的功能,描述了各个模块之间的关系,并对框架中的部分功能模块进行了系统仿真。为了有效利用带宽资源,设计了动态竞争时隙分配算法,并进行了算法仿真。在分析了OFDM无线信道特性的基础上,提出了在OFDM系统中,SGCNF(SmallestGoodChonnelNumberFirst)无线资源调度规则,该规则考虑到OFDM无线信道与传统无线信道的不同,在提高无线资源利用率方面,比传统的调度算法有很大提高。根据SGCNF规则,分别设计了适合OFDM无线信道特性的保证最小比特率的调度算法、满足最大延迟的调度算法、满足抖动要求的调度算法,并利用MATLAB编程,对这些算法进行了仿真。为了简化系统设计的复杂度,本文在前面提出的不同的OFDM无线资源调度算法的基础上,提出了一种统一无线资源调度算法,该算法可以将802.16系统中不同的业务流进行自动分类和统一调度'利用MATLAB编程,对该算法的正确性和有效性进行了仿真。
英文摘要The MAC layer and the PHY layer specification are defined in 802.16 standard. Service flows are classified into the UGS, rtPS, nrtPS and BE types according to their QOS requirements, and the QOS requirements are satisfied by the MAC layer mechanisms respectively. In the PHY layer, OFDM/OFDMA techniques are introduced to guarantee the reliable data transmission in various physical environments. Although perfect QOS guarantee are provided for different services at the beginning of the standardization of Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks, the QOS framework structures used to implement the QOS support are not given by the standard, neither the scheduling algorithms used in the OFDM PHY layer are given. All of these issues are left for researchers to implement. The design of QOS framework of the 802.16 systems and the research on OFDM wireless resource scheduling algorithms are discussed here. Based on detailed analysis on the 802.16 MAC layer techniques, a QOS structure was designed, and the functions of the framework components are defined and the relationship between the components are described. Some of the components are simulated with OPNET simulation tool. A dynamic contention slots allocation algorithm was designed to improve the bandwidth utility, and the algorithm was also simulated. Based on the analysis of the OFDM features, the SGCNF wireless scheduling rule was introduced, this rule takes into consideration the difference of the OFDM wireless channel and other wireless channels. And wireless resource utility was improved when taking into this consideration. Three scheduling algorithms which can fulfill the latency, the minimum bit rate and the jitter requirements are designed based on the SGCNF rule. All these algorithms are simulated using MATLAB simulation tool. In order to simplify the system design, an integrated scheduling algorithm was introduced based on the above three algorithms. This new algorithm can classify different service flows and fulfill their QOS requirements adaptively. Simulation work was done on the correctness and the effectiveness using MATLAB tool.
