中文摘要This paper attempts to develop a System Dynamics model of the environmental sustainblity of Diachi lake. The model examines the linkages and feedbacks among urban development, phosphorus loading and lake algae ecosystem through the phosphorus process. The feedback structures provide the understanding of the dynamics of the lake. Policy outcomes and their implications regarding the management of the Lake Dianchi in terms of urban sustainability are also proposed. The study has found out that the strong urban growth feedback has already passed the carrying capacity of the lake. Unless the strong interventions are in place to break the linkages of the urban growth and the discharge of the phosphorus to the lake, the deterioration of the lake is not avoidable.
