中文摘要Two new ternary aluminum carbides, Hf(3)Al(4)C(6) and Hf(2)AW(5), were identified and their crystal structure was determined by a combination of X-ray diffraction, Z-contrast scanning transmission electron microscopy and density-function calculations. Theoretical second-order elastic constants, bulk modulus, shear modulus and Young's modulus of Hf(3)A(14)C(6) and Hf(2)Al(4)C(5), as well as Hf(3)Al(3)C(5), Hf(2)Al(3)C(4), HfC and Al(4)C(3), were calculated and compared.
