Strong magnetoelectric coupling in multiferroic BiFeO(3)-Pb(Zr(0.52)Ti(0.48))O(3) composite films derived from electrophoretic deposition

中文摘要 | The BiFeO(3)-Pb(Zr(0.52)Ti(0.48))O(3) composite film in which BiFeO(3) nanoparticles are distributed in the Pb(Zr(0.52)Ti(0.48))O(3) matrix was prepared by electrophoretic deposition method. The microstructural characterization revealed the structural distortion of the BiFeO(3) phase, induced by the unique BiFeO(3)-Pb(Zr(0.52)Ti(0.48))O(3) core/shell structure. The composite film exhibited evidence of ferroelectricity with enhanced ferromagnetism as well as a magnetoelectric effect. The two origins for the magnetoelectric effect are presented. This present work provides a promising roadmap to improve the magnetoelectric effect of BiFeO(3)-based multiferroics for actual applications. |
