中文摘要A model is presented to describe the microstructure evolution in a rapid solidified immiscible alloy. Calculations are carried out for Al-Pb alloy. The numerical results demonstrate that the final size of the minority phase particles is dominated by the nucleation behavior during the liquid-liquid decomposition rather than the diffusional growth of the minority phase droplets. The number density and the average radius of the minority phase particles depend on the cooling rate during the nucleation period exponentially. These results are supported by the gas atomization experiments carried out with Al-Pb alloy. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
