Cathode spot propagation on the surface of amorphous, nanocrystalline and crystalline Cu60Zr28Ti12 cathodes

中文摘要Arc tracks on the surface of coarse crystalline, amorphous, and nanocrystalline Cu60Zr28Ti12 cathodes were investigated. On the surface of coarse crystalline Cu60Zr28Ti12, cathode spots were restricted to a small zone, while on the surface of amorphous and nanocrystalline Cu60Zr28Ti12 cathodes, the spots spread over a wide area, of about 15 x 2.4 mm(2) and more. The arc tracks on the amorphous ribbons had a worm-like form, which is attributed to continuous cathode spot motion. The arc track on nanocrystalline Cu60Zr28Ti12 alloys, crystallized from the amorphous alloy, consisted of densely distributed similar to 3 mum craters. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
