中文摘要In this paper, the absorption spectrum of PbWO4:Cr3+ crystals is measured at room temperature in the wavelength range from 340 to 520 nm. The d-d transitions of Cr3+ ions in PbWO4 crystals with tetragonal symmetry are calculated by the crystal-field theory. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experiments. The experimental bands have been assigned as the tetragonal symmetry field components of transitions.
