Relationship of selenium, arsenic and sulfur in soil and plants in Enshi County, China

英文摘要In this paper, selenium (Se) and arsenic (As) contents of soil and plants were determined by Hydride Generation Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry (HG-AFS) and sulfur (S) contents were examined by Coulomb titration, and the relationships of Se, As and S in soil and plants were discussed. It shows that both Se and As have the same change trend. Se has positive correlation with S, if the S content of soil is less than 0.05%, but the correlation is negative, if the S content of soil is more than 0.05%. Se in soil has stronger influence than As and S on the corresponding elements in plants. Distribution of Sc, As and S in plant indicates that radish and rice with high Se content have stronger ability than potato and batata with low Se content to gather As and S.
