Response of land surface temperature to coastal land use/cover change by remote sensing

英文摘要 | Based on the nearly two phase TM/ETM remote sensing data, by using extraction of two land use/land cover (LUCC) of information and the corresponding land surface temperature(LST), combined with research results of seawater intrusion along coast of the Laizhou Bay in Shandong Province over the past 20 years, spatial pattern and variationof impacts of LUCC on LST were analyzed. The study found that under influence of seawater intrusion, the study area of coast of Laizhou bay covered mainly with farmland, saline-alkali land, construction land and salt land, the unused land (saline-alkali land, beach) accounted for a high proportion. As the distance from the sea, the degree of land use obviously changed. Under influence of coastal economic development and LUCC, the area increase of water body and vegetation cover led to decrease of LST in study area, the average LST was 30.8°C in 1987 and 29.2°C in 2000, the LST in 2000 reduced 1.62°C against to that in 1987. Seawater intrusion significantly affected the spatial pattern of land cover and changes, LUCC was impacted evidently on the spatial distribution and changes of LST along coastal areas of Laizhou bay. The change of LST is closely related to change of land use. This study would provide scientific reference and basis for decision making for ecological and environmental protection along coastal wetlands and beach land development. |
