英文摘要we have experimentally observed the q-switched mode-locking (qml) and dissipative soliton operations in the passively mode-locked fiber laser operating in large-anomalous-dispersion regime. with the increase of pump power, the proposed fiber laser gradually evolves from continuous-wave to qml and finally to dissipative soliton operations. the transition state between qml and dissipative solitons has been observed. the experimental results suggest that the fiber laser based on the nonlinear polarization rotation technique exhibits q-switching instabilities.
