| 英文摘要 | Numerical experiment is a basic method in the study of Earth's mantle convection. In the present paper, the main advances which have been made in the field of mantle convection for the last twenty years are summarized; new concepts and new ideas proposed in every stage of the research development are introduced and reviewed. The issue of upper vs whole mantle convection is critically discussed. |
