英文摘要PURPOSE:To obtain enough high transferring speed by positioning the respective light emitting points of the oscillating parts on the same straight line, and decreasing the point-to-point interval proportionately from one edge to the other edge. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser equips the plural oscillating parts, which can be independently driven, on one substrate 1 and positions emitting points 12 of the respective oscillating parts on the same straight line. Then, intervals D1-D7 are decreased with being proportional from one edge to the other edge. An optical disk device obtains the semiconductor laser as a light source and equips function to condense plural laser beams, which are outputted from the light source, to the plural tracks mutually adjacent to a same optical disk medium, at least, and to parallelly execute the recording and reproducing of information. When the light source is arranged so that the intervals can be decreased proportionately from one edge to the other edge, a beam spot can be condensed with being coincident to the central positions mutually adjacent to tracks. Thus, the transferring speed can be made high as several times as the conventional speed.
