英文摘要A transceiver module includes a light-emitting element 102, a light-receiving element 103 and a rod lens 106. Light from the light-emitting element 102 is condensed onto the top end of the rod lens 106. A ferrule 108 of an optical fiber 1013 is brought into physical contact with the top end surface of the rod lens 106. The rod lens 106 is held by a support 104 supported by a spring member on a housing 1010, and the outer diameter of the rod lens is equal to the outer diameter of the ferrule 108. An opening portion is provided in the housing so that the top end of the ferrule of the optical fiber is slidably fitted into one end of a sleeve 107, the other end of which is slidably fitted onto the outer circumference of the rod lens.; In another receiver module (Fig. 9) emitted light is reflected an a surface (21) of a light-receiving element (2) to a lens (3) for coupling to a light transmission path.
